Road Trippin' USA: MINI Takes the States 2010! August 05, 2010

MINI owners and fans all across the United States are packed and ready to rally for this year's MINI Takes the States event, scheduled for August 13th - 15th in Denver, Colorado. We've all heard the phrase "It's the journey, not the destination" - but in this case, we don't have to choose. MINI Takes the States will begin as a road trip and end as a party, with MINI drivers from every corner of the nation invited to weave their way across a network of designated Rally Routes between 5 major American metropolitan areas and the final destination of Denver, where the cross-country pilgrimage will culminate in the three-day MTTS festival. Launch parties beginning the weekend of August 5th will take place in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Atlanta & Chicago - all will include an exclusive preview of the new MINI Countryman. Enthusiasts will get the opportunity to rally with fellow MINI owners and the all-new MINI Countryman on the route of their choice as they converge on Denver for an exciting festival weekend. If that were not enough, future MINI owners can experience an adrenaline pumping "autocross" to experience the go-kart-like handling of their MINI of choice on a uniquely designed closed course. If you're interested in participating but can't get to one of the cities, the routes will be hitting lots of other stops on the way - probably even a city near you. The MINI Space Team will be publishing extensive onsite coverage of the event, so if you can't be there in person, follow along right here as we take it from the launch party in NYC to the road, with all the ins and outs in between.
