The project MINI & Triennale CreativeSet presents Lorenzo Damiani, the next designer in the series of exhibitions dedicated to contemporary Italian design in the Triennale Design Museum's space CreativeSet.
The exhibition displays 18 projects, two of which are made exclusively for the show, documenting Lorenzo Damiani's creative universe.
Born in 1972, Damiani studied architecture at the Politecnico di Milano (Technical School of Milan), subsequently obtaining a Master's degree in Industrial Drawing at the Scuola Politecnica di Design (Technical School of Design).
Damiani has displayed his projects in various exhibitions, and also entered many competitions, winning numerous prizes along the way. These include: Compasso d'Oro, 18th , 19th and 21st editions, Milan (Youth Project Prize - Compasso D'Oro (1998), distinction (2001), distinction (2008)); Good Design Award, Chicago Athenaeum, Chicago (2001-2007); and Young&Design, Milan (1st prize, 2001 and 2004). Damiani has also had two solo exhibitions: Il Doppio Senso delle Cose ("The double sense of things"), curated by Cristina Morozzi at the Milan Exposition Park in 2003, and In-Coerenza ("In-coherence") at the Otto Gallery in Bologna in 2004. In addition, Damiani has contributed to various editions of the Salone Satellite di Milano.
The projects Flex and OnlyOne are included in the permanent collection of the design section of the Chicago Museum.
Damiani has also collaborated with various companies, including Campeggi, Cappellini, Montina, Acqua di Parma, Abet Laminati, Erreti, Omnidecor, Coop, Illy Caffè, IB Rubinetterie, BBB EmmeBonacina, Tabu and Tod's.
