MINI at the Rome International Film Festival (October 15 - 23) October 16, 2009

MINI resumes its special partnership with a new fleet to ensure the mobility of guests and experts, and a new public space at the auditorium ‘Parco della Musica'. While the MINI Clubman brings directors and actors to the red carpet, and the new MINI Ray G ensures the movements of the jury members, the "Spazio MINI" will host the Info Point, as well as the I mestieri del cinema (working in cinema) workshop. In addition, Spazio MINI will also be operating the MINI Shop, where you can buy items and accessories from the MINI Collection, as well as from the Autumn/Winter 2009/2010 MINI bags collection.

On the red carpet: Impeccable service and low environmental impact.

Like a real ‘star', MINI is ready to return to the scene of Italy's capital to transport guests around the city. Indeed, over the entire duration of the festival, actors and directors in Rome to present their films to critics and the public will be driven to the red carpet - at the centre of the ‘Parco della Musica' auditorium - by a MINI Clubman fleet.

A dynamic and eco-friendly group of MINI Ray Gs will provide mobility for festival jury members Gae Aulenti, Gabriele Muccino, Senta Berger, Jean-Loup Dabadie, Assia Djebar and Pavel Lungin. Packed with novel features like a supplementary LPG fuel system, the MINI Ray G is a product developed exclusively for the Italian market, specially requested by BMW Group Italy.

Dedicated to fans of MINI and of cinema. The "Spazio MINI".

Visitors will find the new "MINI Space" - 80 square meters dedicated to fans of ‘la piccola' from Oxford, and to enthusiasts of the seventh art - on viale Pietro de Coubertin, practically opposite the bookshop of the auditorium Parco della Musica, and just a few metres from the famous red carpet. While Spazio MINI will be easy to spot, thanks to the irresistible, brand new MINI Ray displayed right next to it, it will act not merely as an info point for visitors, but will also serve two other functions, dedicated to MINI and cinema aficionados. These are the following:

Cinema Workshop with Cine-Tv ‘Roberto Rossellini'.

Every morning from Monday October 19, Spazio MINI will host a lecture series on working in cinema, "I mestieri del cinema", by the Roberto Rossellini State Institute of Cinematography and Television (better known as Cine-Tv). The lectures are reserved for high school students in their last two years of schooling, and are structured as small lessons on single topics (direction, scriptwriting, editing, photography, production, etc.).

MINI Collection and MINI bags: display and sale.

The MINI Shop is open every day from 11am to 9:30 pm (without a break for lunch!) and holds a remarkable selection of MINI Collection items and MINI bags, collections that celebrate the revival of British style combined with the rock star look.
