MINI Countryman Hits Milan April 09, 2010

The newest design from MINI - the MINI Countryman - was unveiled in Geneva in March and will hit showrooms in September. In the meantime, the all-new MINI will take center stage in a series of events and installations during Milan Design Week beginning on Tuesday, April 13th and continuing through Monday, April 19th.   MINI Countryman Picnic Design Week will kick off in style with an invite-only party on April 13th: the MINI Countryman Picnic. On that night, the red carpet will welcome an exclusive guest list studded with VIPs into a space that unites urban chic with country charm - just like the MINI Countryman itself. As it unfolds, MINI Space will keep you in the loop with exclusive, behind-the-scenes video and photo updates featuring celebs, DJ performance, special guests and an inside look at the design of this unique space.   MINI at Interni Think Tank: MINI Countryman Design Studio In the courtyards of the Università degli Studi di Milano, the MINI Countryman Design Studio will form a pivotal part of INTERNI Think Tank - one of the events of the Fuori Salone 2010. The number 4 is key to the design of the MINI Countryman, with its four doors, four seats, four-wheel-drive and as the first MINI to span over four meters in length. That's why this installation was specially conceived by MINI design's general manager Gert Hildebrand and his team as a riff on the number four. Every surface and element of the installation is designed to be accessible, so that visitors can walk in and around it, exploring every detail from all angles. Experience the installation for yourself during Design Week (April 13th - April 18th) from 10 a.m. to midnight. Milano   MINI at Triennale Design Museum Di Milano: MINI Countryman Set Also don't miss MINI at the Triennale Design Museum di Milano, where an interactive installation will feature the design elements of the new MINI Countryman. The exhibition opens to the public on April 14th from 10:30 a.m. till midnight. For the remainder of Design Week the installation will be visible from 10:30 a.m. until 10 p.m., and will remain on display until May 26th. Triennale Design Museum di Milano
