When it comes time for shooting around the city, point A to point Z and everything in between, no one will argue that it's tough to beat a MINI for versatility, go-kart like handling and straight-up thrill when getting around town. Now, fans have good reason to believe that all those smart looks and the ability to slide itself into the smallest of city spaces have an eye to get even more MINI. For the fashionable looking to find the future of urban mobility - say hello to the MINI Scooter E Concept.

A visionary from birth, Sir Alec Issigonis' quest for Creative Use of Space is alive now more than ever: with this two-wheeled vision for the future, MINI's preparing for spontaneous, flexible, CO2-free mobility in the characteristic style of the brand.
New kids on the block
Think sustainability on a par with style - with the smallest footprint in the business. A scooter made by MINI surely wouldn't be the only one you'd see darting around town, but - true to form - it'd be the best looking. For the debut shots in the studio, scooter pilots tossed on some fresh gear from the likes of John Galliano, American Apparel, G-Star and Gucci.
When you're looking this good - that's right, we said it - you know you've got to stay connected. How to get directions, see what bar your friends just checked-in at on Facebook, or take that hands-free call at full-throttle on the highway? Easy. Integrated into the control panel is a smartphone dock, ready to handle all these tasks at your fingertips. Nice, right?
The MINI Scooter E Concept is powered by an electric motor integrated in the rear wheel, and the lithium-ion battery can be recharged by any conventional power socket using an on-board charging cable.
For now just a concept, but one with a bright, sustainable future
The concept study, whose launch is being presented at an exclusive press event today during London Fashion Week - coinciding with the London Design Festival - takes urban mobility by MINI in a sharp, streetwise direction.

May I agree with '' jw86'', he is right. No one thinks of the electricity generation... It will cost a lot more, or are we naïve and forget about that ?
