The first image really is a great one for me but I'm not sure I how I feel about the others as winners. During this contest I saw where an image of a cat for a Mini Cooper site contest had well over a 100 votes and solid designs with an actual MINI in it went well under 10 votes. As a result I don't think this system works well for this type of venue, but then again...I'm not management and can't implement change.

some ideas..

1.There should be a limitation on votes per person.

a. A limited number of voted probably could be introduced depending on the profile of the voter. Probably a priority system could be introduced.

2. A filtering process should be initiated to identify poor or spam designs.

totally agree with duminda's suggestions!
Another idea..maybe the votes list of any competition's winners to be published with the names of the members who voted for..that would make things much more clear I guess..!

i agree with "twise".
this is not a meritocratic method. You can't tell if it's really worth. . cause everybody can call friends and vote, & also can make fake acounts and still votes his own designs!!!
If we want better rules & results this has to change..

Regards.

1.Regarding the "fake accounts thing", I believe Mini space team has already acted drastically since I guess we have all noticed "designs" loosing even more than 100 votes at some cases..
2.Regarding the "friends inviting thing", since the site itself calls everybody to invite his friends to vote, I guess we have all "played" with the same rule knowing that at the very first moment we signed in to the competition..
3.Since almost all the members of this site, signed for the competition, I guess that makes sense why someone either would not vote anyone or would ask for "vote exchange", that should sound familiar to everyone I guess.. ;)

After all, and after a quite substantial talking I had with "twise" earlier, we both resulted to the same topic that is.. "Design for the love of creation, not for the prizes". So I would suggest , there wouldn't be any prizes at all to the winners of any competition from so on..that way the whole competition thing would totally have to do with the DESIGN itself and not the number of people we know or we don't personally ;) I am really curious how many would be the sign ins at that case... :)

well Kyriakos i think u r right..
but another solution would be giving away prizes
without using the voting method..
they could just give the price to the best design..
a design that would be chosen by pro ppl..
i think it should be more about rewarding for creativity.. and not for da person
who gets da more votes he can..
