WASH ME - An Art Project

The new book WASH ME, slated to hit retail on November 3rd, bears glossy, full-color witness to what happens when 10 different artists are each presented with a MINI to deface -- ahem!...design at will. Using special paints, a wide variety of techniques came into play to make this project, curated by MINI Switzerland, an imaginative reality.

WASH ME! - words that usually bring to mind a rusty, neglected vehicle, the classic one-liner scrawled with a hasty finger on a dusty rear-window; an act of amateurish vandalism. Just leave it to MINI to extract the creative essence from this useless tradition - the car as ephemeral canvas - and reinvent it as something thoughtful and creative. Since MINI has always been an objet d'art as well as a vehicle, it seems only fitting that it would serve here as muse and medium to 10 unique and influential artists, like Seak, Dieter Meier, Euro and Smash137, to name a few.
