The Brief

Today’s observant urbanites know that when it comes to finding the hottest corners of town, you usually have to look a bit beyond Main Street. Far and away from the hustle and bustle of brightly-lit tourist trails, life is juicier the deeper you bite. This photography and design competition is all about rediscovering what makes your home turf unique. Because no matter how iconic the major landmarks might be, experienced denizens march to a hidden pulse, to one that really brings a city to life. To further celebrate the NOT NORMAL spirit of "capturing the extraordinary", we introduce Find Your City’s Pulse, the latest MINI Space design competition. The urban cityscape is brimming with visual inspiration — so we want you, with photography, illustration, graphic design or collage — to show us what makes your city extraordinary. We want to see your city’s colorful underbelly and the people that help shape it: from action shots of urban artists at work and their graffiti-laden abandoned concrete canvases, to DJs and VJs and impromptu street parties, to the anonymous faces that serenade your morning commute.
