Prima di ogni scatto c’è uno scambio silenzioso tra oggetto e anima,
un accordo perchè la realtà non esca come da una fotocopiatrice,
ma venga bloccata nel tempo senza tempo, per sviluppare all’infinito

hared via AddThis My passion for photograph is born at the end of 80’s corresponding with the Fall of the Berlin’s Wall and the consequence was the arrival in Italy of Soviet low-cost photographic equipments. When I was 13 I can afford a respectable photographic kit which I start to realize astronomic photograph with and that still represents the genre I use to explain the landscape in an original way. By growing up the passion for photograph does not leave me, actually not only I aim my lens to the sky, but I also start photographing all that touchable, above all people. I never attend some professional photographic courses, actually I can succeed in learning by myself from the shooting technique to the printing one in the dark room which give a further personal touch to my works. At the moment I am working with a digital/analogical 35 mm, medium size 6x4.5 reflex filled with B&W 400 ISO films. I personally deal with the post-production process in the dark room by using old printing techniques, including the digital printing production on barite paper, which is called “gelatin silver print”. My personal perspective of photograph is like an alternative way to tell and distort the reality. I never use professional models for my works, I actually prefer common people who tell about themselves and my photos are very often dedicated to their personality and to how they look themselves and perceive their body and thoughts. The images represent a sequence of pictures mostly dedicated to the female figure, to the beauty and the world surrounding them and to the inner worrying which belong to everybody. In my works I’d rather use the B&W for its unique characteristic to realize a “timeless” release and for the control it has during the printing phase, where I can personally add some tones to the print and adapt it to the shooting subjec
